Privacy policy

In short: Face Hack doesn't collect, store or send any of your data. Faces are detected on your own computer, and your images never leave it.
Images
To add filters, the extension looks at the images and videos on the pages you visit and detects faces in them. Detection runs inside your browser using a face model packaged with the extension. Images, video frames and face positions are kept in memory only while the page is open. They are never saved and never sent anywhere.
Network requests
Browsers don't let extensions read the pixels of images from other websites directly. To work around this, the extension downloads a fresh copy of an image the page is already showing, from the same address the page used. These requests are sent without your cookies, go only to the website hosting the image, and the image data stays on your computer. The extension makes no other network requests: no analytics, no tracking, no ads, and no server of ours.
Settings
Your settings (whether filters are on, which filter is selected, and where each slider is set) are stored locally in your browser. They aren't synced to your Google account.
Data we collect
None. We don't collect personal information, browsing history, images, usage statistics or anything else, so there is nothing to sell, share or delete.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date. If a future version of the extension ever needs to send data anywhere, it will ask for your permission first.
